In the Research Laboratory of the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin – Univ.-Prof. Dr. Georg N. Duda -
2 Postdoc positions (BAT IIa)are available.

Research in this laboratory is focussed on the analysis of biological healing processes after injuries of the soft tissue and bone structures, the analysis of general mechanical conditions for the biological healing process, and the analysis of potential factors that accelerate the process of healing.

We are seeking for two highly motivated and well-trained postdoctoral fellows having experience in histology, immunohistochemistry as well as in situ-hybridization. The candidates will work on small and large animal experiments of fracture, osteotomy and defect healing involving surgical assistance, postoperative care, analysis of the regenerative tissue, and supervision of PhD students.

Individuals applying for these positions must have a PhD, MD or DVM degree and should be fluent in English and/or German (both spoken and written) and display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.

The projects are funded by the German Research Foundation (SFB 760 "Biomechanics and Biology of Musculoskeletal Regeneration – From Functional Assessment to Guided Tissue Formation") and by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research ("Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies"). The positions commence on 01/08, initially for one year and can be prolonged after positive evaluation.
