2 Postdoctoral Positions in Immunology, Germany
The group of Axel Roers at the Institute for Immunology, Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus, TU Dresden invites applications for
2 Postdoctoral positions.
We are interested in the roles mast cells play in innate immunity and the regulation of T and B cell responses. We investigate mast cell biology using a set of new genetic tools that we have recently generated which allow Cre/loxP-based mast cell-specific inactivation of individual genes or inducible ablation of mast cells in vivo. In the setting of this project, we will inactivate cytokine genes or genes involved in antigen presentation/costimulation or signaling selectively in mast cells. The mutant animals will be analyzed for alterations of a spectrum of immune responses.
We are looking for motivated and ambitious scientists with a strong background in immunology. We offer a highly interactive and well-equipped environment. Initial employment will be for two years with the possibility of extension.
