2008 Daniels Opportunity Scholarship

The Daniels Opportunity Scholarship is a need-based grant offered by Colorado Christian University in partnership with the Daniels Fund. The scholarship is designed to assist eligible students in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies to meet the costs associated with pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Specifically, this scholarship is intended to enable qualified adult students who are unemployed, underemployed, in the military, or the first in their immediate family (including their parents and spouse but excluding their children) to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Scholarship Amount

Scholarship winners may receive up to $2,000 per semester for up to four consecutive semesters, for a total award of up $8,000.

Eligibility Requirements

You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you are a Colorado resident and you:

  • Are either applying to or enrolled in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) as a degree-seeking student in an undergraduate degree program.
  • Are taking undergraduate courses while working towards your first bachelor’s degree.
  • Can certify that no person in your immediate family (i.e., parents, siblings, or spouse) holds a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
  • Can demonstrate financial need as calculated by the FAFSA results.
  • Have not previously received a Daniels Opportunity Scholarship from CCU.
  • Intend to complete one or more courses at CAGS in either the summer or fall semester of 2008.
