2009 Japanese Government (MONBUKAGAKUSHO:MEXT) ScholarshipEmbassy Recommendation
The application for admission as a research student (2009 MEXT Scholarship) can be accepted until August 15, 2008.
The Selection will be conducted as follows.
Please note that Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences only issues “Letter of Admission” not “Letter of Acceptance”.
Application procedure
1. First you must pass a preliminary examination given by the Japanese Embassy in your home country. For details please contact your local Japanese Embassy or Consulates. http://www.mofa.go.jp/about/emb_cons/over/index.html
2. Choose 3 professors of desired choice from the List of Research Areas of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

3. Submit all the required documents to International Students Advising Room at the address below.
(1) A copy of the certificate of the preliminary selection issued by the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General
(2) Attested copies of all the documents you submitted to the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General
application forms, study plan, transcript, diploma, abstracts of theses,
recommendation letter, medical certificate, etc.
(3) Application form in the prescribed form of Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences? (PDF file)
*** You can temporarily send copies electronically. However, the above documents must be sent by postal mail to the address below.

4. Application due
Application should be postmarked on or before August 15, 2008.
5. Selection
Decision will be made totally by examining application documents and e-mail interview with the professor of the laboratory of desired choice.
6. Announcement of results
Letter of admission will be issued and sent by postal mail on September 10, 2008.
In case of fail results, the notification will be sent as soon as the selection committee is over.
7. Please send above documents by registered mail, such as EMS, DHL ,FEDEX.
We will not return any submitted documents.
