University of Edinburgh offers Africa LLM/MSc Tercentenary Scholarship in UK. Student of Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa or Swaziland) can apply for this scholarship. One scholarship award is offered for academic year 2013/2014. A selection criterion for scholarship is academic merit. The scholarship is provided to study on-campus LLM or the on-campus MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Edinburgh Law School. The scholarship covers the costs of postgraduate tuition fees, partial maintenance grant (£7000) for one academic year. Applications for postgraduate programmes must be made in parallel through the normal University application route. Applications should be sent electronically by 30th April 2013.

Eligibility: -The award is open to all suitably qualified African applicants; however, the 2013/2014 scholarship is particularly aimed University of Edinburghat applicants who are citizens of (and normally resident in) Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa or Swaziland.
-If no suitable application is received from these countries, the scholarship will pass to the next most suitable applicant.

Scholarship Description: The Africa LLM/MSc Tercentenary Scholarship is open to all African students who have applied to an on-campus LLM or the on-campus MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Edinburgh Law School.

Number of awards offered: One scholarship will be available each academic year until 2013/2014.

Duration of award(s): One scholarship will be available each academic year until 2013/2014.

What does it cover? The scholarship for Africans will cover the costs of postgraduate tuition fees for one academic year. The successful applicant will also be given a partial maintenance grant (£7000) to help fund their studies at the University of Edinburgh. The maintenance grant will not cover the full costs of studying at the University and applicants should ensure they have sufficient financial support to complete their studies.
