Postdoctoral or Research Position in Molecular Analysis of Somatosensory Signaling in Vertebrates at Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, Germany 2012
Study Subject(s):Molecular Analysis of Somatosensory Signaling in Vertebrates
Course Level:Postdoctoral or Research
Scholarship Provider: DFG-funded Emmy-Noether Research Group
Scholarship can be taken at: Germany
We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified candidate with strong interest in sensory research. Applicants with a PhD in a relevant research area and preferentially previous experience in the above-mentioned techniques are encouraged to apply.
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: We are a newly established, DFG-funded Emmy-Noether Research Group at the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine. To build up our team we seek a candidate to staff a Postdoc or Research Associate Position (TVöD E13).Our research focuses on the molecular analysis of somatosensory signaling in vertebrates. Specifically, the offered project will deal with a comparative and quantitative analysis of signaling networks involved in different pain states in both, the peripheral and central nervous system. This project combines several techniques, i.e. biochemistry and proteomics, physiology (calcium-imaging in neuronal cell culture) and mouse behavioral work.
