• Currently employed by a university, government, research institution and/or other institution with the intent to continue working in the home country for a minimum of two years following the return from the United States;
• Early to mid-stage of professional career; and
• Experience and focus in the targeted research areas identified

Scholarship Description: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is pleased to announce the 2012 USDA Global Research Alliance (GRA) on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases to Combat Climate Change Fellowships for Mexico. Competitively selected Fellows from GRA-member developing countries work side-by-side with U.S. scientists on climate change mitigation research for up to three months. These fellowships are hosted by USDA’s Agricultural Research Service and/or U.S. universities active in the targeted research areas. U.S. scientists, who serve as mentors to the Fellows, travel to the Fellows’ country for up to 10 days to continue collaborating on climate change mitigation research. USDA will select U.S. mentors and host institutions for each Fellow. The 2012 GRA Fellowships are administered by USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS). Fellowships are funded by USAID or FAS based on availability
