Australian Federation of Graduate Women(AFGW) NSW Inc- Central West Branch invites applications from women who have completed an undergraduate degree and going to undertake their further studies in 2014. The scholarship is offered to pursue postgraduate or research level in Australia. The scholarship will be to the value of $4000. Applications closing date is 12th August 2013.

Eligibility: An applicant must:
-Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent but NOT normally a postgraduate award
-Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
-Live in the Central West, (defined as including the Local Government areas of Lachlan, Parkes, Forbes, Weddin, Cowra, Cabonne, Wellington, Orange, Blayney, Bathurst Regional, Oberon and City of Lithgow)
-Be available to commence the program in 2014.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Australian citizens can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The AFGW(Australian Federation of Graduate Women) NSW– Central West Branch invites applications from women who have completed an undergraduate degree or equivalent and will be undertaking a postgraduate qualification or research in 2014 or have commenced such degree/research after June 30 2012. Applications are to be sent by post or by email. The closing date for applications is 12th August 2013.

Duration of Award: The scholarship will commence in 2014 for a period agreed by the AFGW NSW Central West Scholarship Committee.

What does it cover: The scholarship will be to the value of $4000. The scholarship will be applied to the cost of the successful applicant’s expenses such as fees, books, equipment, computer, library research or travel expenses incurred in the designated program/research. Note: Scholarship funds may NOT be applied retrospectively.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post. Conditions of the Award: Applicants must
–Address the Selection Guidelines (see application form)
-Provide four (4) copies of the completed application form and attachments (transcript of tertiary academic record, photocopy of birth certificate or passport, photocopy of driver’s license, names and details of two referees, CV, evidence of acceptance into course/research project and cost of course/research project, reasons for application)
-If successful, submit annual reports and give a talk about their study when completed to an AFGW NSW Central West meeting.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Applications are to be submitted till 12th August 2013.
