Scholarship Description: The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) welcomes the opportunity to support the ASF initiative to enhance the management and accountability of not-for-profit organisations by offering a place on theChartered Accountants Program, the two-year postgraduate program undertaken part-time while employed in arelevant role under the supervision of a mentor.

Selection criteria: The ICAA ASF Chartered Accountants Program Scholarship may only be awarded to applicants who are Australian citizens and who satisfy all the program entry criteria, in that they:

  • Hold an Institute accredited accounting degree; have at least 6 months full-time (or part-time equivalent) accounting work experience;
  • Are currently employed at least 17.5 hours per week in an accounting role, with a registered charitable organisation in Australia and are being mentored by a Chartered Accountant. The Scholarship is awarded jointly by ASF and ICAA to applicants whose completion of the program would, in ASF’s view, benefit their employing NFP organisation.
  • Selection is based on the applicant meeting ICAA entry requirements for the nominated program and written endorsement from the respective charitable organisation.   • The award of the scholarship does not imply that an applicant is eligible for admission to the program.
