Scholarship Description: The Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) was founded with the objective of promoting the country’s technological development and further education in science and technology. In this sense, in fact, IIT is committed to achieve its scientific program, which sees in the integration between basic scientific research and the development of technical applications, a major inspirational principle. The research activities cover areas of science of high innovative content, representing the most advanced frontiers of modern technology, with wide application possibilities in various fields from medicine to industry, from computer science to robotics, life sciences, and nanobiotechnology. The Center for Nanoscience and Technology (CNST) is one node of the network established by the Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia with Italian academies in order to foster synergy in the national research. CNST has a focus on material science, and it is able to conduct the complete production line, from conceiving and realizing a new material to its application in devices, through a comprehensive characterization. The areas of competence are Material Chemistry, Molecular Electronics, Printed Electronics, Nanotechnology Fabrication and Optical – Photophysical – Morphological and Theoretical Characterization.
