University of Kent offers Research Scholarships in the field of Law for UK Students in UK 2013

– Applicants should normally have obtained, or be about to obtain an undergraduate degree of at least Upper Second Class Honours level (2:1 or equivalent from other countries), or a postgraduate degree.
– Research proposals in socio-legal and critical legal studies – that is, applicants who demonstrate a capacity to reflect on the methodology of their research from a theoretically informed perspective.
Scholarship Open for International Students: This Scholarship is open for UK Students.
Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for full time research studentships leading to the degree of PhD commencing in September 2013. The funding for these studentships will be available for one year in the first instance, extended (for registered students only) for a second and then third year providing verifiable progress has been made (in teaching and research).
Duration of award(s): The funding for these studentships will be available for one year.
What does it cover? Successful applicants for the studentships will receive a maintenance grant equivalent to that offered by ESRC (£13,590 in 2012/13) and tuition fees paid at the home/EU rate (£3,828 in 2012/13).
Notification: It is expected that short listing will take place in March 2013 and interviews will take place in the week beginning 2nd April 2013. Candidates invited for interview will be notified in the week beginning 25th March 2013.
