Scholarship Description: Lund University has a vacant PhD student position on integrated mm-wave circuit design. The main focus of the research project is to investigate circuit techniques, in amplifiers, mixers, power amplifiers, filters, and oscillators, for implementing a high efficiency mm-wave transmitter in CMOS technology. High efficiency is especially important for battery powered devices. Design of circuits in CMOS technology as well as measurements of fabricated circuits are important parts of the work. The PhD student will participate in the project “High Efficiency Millimeter Wave Transmitters using CMOS technology”, financed by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet). The position is full-time, which includes 15% department work, mainly teaching.
