University of Sydney is pleased to offer scholarship for Australian students to pursue their postgraduate studies in electrodialysis. Scholarship is valued at $29,844 per annum (tax exempt) and may be renewed for up to three years. The applicants applying for the below mentioned scholarship must have master’s degree (or equivalent) in analytical chemistry or chemical engineering.

Eligibility: Applicants must have Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, knowledge and demonstrated experience of a wide range of chemical analysis techniques, relevant to waste water such as ICP, COD, and ion selective electrodes. The applicant also needs experience in the operation of a range of pilot scale membrane systems, including ultra filtration and electrodialysis.

Scholarship Description: A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good Masters degree (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Chemical Engineering. The project is to investigate the potential for electrodialysis to be incorporated cost effectively into large scale bioprocess plants.

Duration of Awards: Scholarship may be renewed for up to three years.
