Alaska Space Grant Program Fellowships

The Alaska Space Grant Program (ASGP), a participant in the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, invites applications from U. S. citizens for research fellowship stipends. These stipends are offered to undergraduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM) fields. Preference is given to projects directly related to NASA’s interests. Stipends available under this announcement are limited to students attending Alaska institutions of higher education.

Alaska Education Grant

The Alaska legislature created the Alaska Education Grant (AEG) program to provide need-based financial assistance to eligible Alaska students attending qualifying postsecondary educational institutions in Alaska. Grant awards typically range from $500 to $4,000 per academic year for students who have qualifying unmet financial need. To qualify for an Alaska Education Grant a student must be an Alaska resident and U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Alaska Performance Scholarship

The Alaska Performance Scholarship provides an opportunity for Alaska high school students to earn a scholarship to help cover the cost of an Alaska postsecondary education. Alaska residents who graduate from an Alaska high school (public, private, or home school), in 2011 or later and meet the qualifying requirements are eligible for an APS award. There are three maximum annual award levels: up to $4,755, $3,566, and $2,378. Maximum levels are established based on a combination of minimum GPA and test scores.

Arc of Washington Trust Fund Research Grants

The ARC of Washington Trust Fund Research Awards offers stipends for upper division or graduate students who have a demonstrated interest in the field of mental retardation.  Funds are renewable as long as the student is enrolled. Applicants are invited to send a brief letter to the Trust explaining the nature of the planned proposal and how it relates to the Trust’s purposes with an estimate of the amount of support required. If the research meets the Trust’s purposes, the Trust Board may request a formal grant proposal.

Army ROTC Green To Gold Scholarship Program

Applications are invited for Green to Gold Scholarship programme. Green to Gold Scholarship Option winners receive: Tuition or room and board support, Additional money for textbooks, supplies, and equipment. A monthly stipend for up to 10 months each school year that increases each year based on your Military Science Class. Applicants must be US Citizen (non-waiverable). Age – you must be under 31 years of age on 31 December of the year you complete all requirements for a commission. You must have acquired your bachelor’s degree by this time. This is a statutory requirement and there are no waivers authorized.

Army ROTC Historically Black College University Scholarship Program

Sponsored by the Department of the Army, this is a one-time award for students attending college for the first time. Applicants must attend a historically black college or university and must join school’s ROTC program, pass a physical, have a qualifying SAT or ACT score, and minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicant must be at least 17 by college enrollment and under thirty-one years of age in the year of graduation. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen/national at the time the scholarship is awarded.

Army ROTC Scholarships

The Four-Year High School Scholarship is for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, Be between the ages of 17 and 26, Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50, Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

ASTA Scholarships

Tourism Cares will award up to $500 in ASTA Pacific Northwest Chapter – William Hunt Professional Development Scholarships to be applied to the cost of an ASTA or The Travel Institute Educational Program, or the registration fee only for the ASTA International Destination Expo. To be eligible, applicants must be permanent U. S. residents, with a minimum of two years of experience in the travel industry, who have successfully completed the program, or attended the conference. They must also be individual members of the ASTA Pacific Northwest Chapter (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington), or be employed at an office where at least one travel agent is a member of the chapter.

BBB Foundation’s Students of Integrity Scholarship

A scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to the winning application submitted by students residing in Alaska, Oregon or Western Washington. High school seniors from across the Northwest are encouraged to apply by creating a 90-second video that demonstrates how BBB helps people become smart consumers.

Church’s Chicken Community Program

The Church’s Partners Foundation, Inc. (CPF) has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors residing in sixteen eligible states who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for part-time or full-time study at an accredited U.S. institution of the student’s choice. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Awards are one-time only. Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Tesoro Youth Leadership Awards

Tesoro Industries is providing twenty $2,500 college scholarships for outstanding young leaders. This new scholarship has been launched to encourage young scholars who are leading by example in their schools and communities. Applicants must have minimum GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent, financial need, Scholarship funds will be sent to the university or college where the recipients enroll in August 2016. The scholarship application will run Dec. 1, 2015 – February 26, 2016 and is available on the NSHSS Foundation website. Scholarship award winners will be announced in May 2016.

PMI Alaska Chapter Scholarship

The PMI Alaska Chapter aims to promote project management professionalism and serve the professional, education, and networking needs of its members and the residents of Alaska interested in project management. Annual scholarship(s) will be awarded in the minimum amount of $1,000 but may be more depending on the interest earned on the endowed fund throughout the year.
