Applications are invited for American Dream scholarship essay contest from US students enrolled as full-time high school juniors or seniors, or full time at a university. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a high school student and a $1,000 scholarship to a college student who best personifies this dream.
Two winners will be selected based on the best essay as determined by an internal panel of judges. The application deadline is 16 October 2015.

Entries are limited to one submission per person. Immediate family members of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia employees are excluded from this contest.

What does it cover? Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a high school student and a $1,000 scholarship to a college student who best personifies this dream.
Selection Criteria: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties will select two winners based on the best essay as determined by our internal panel of judges. Selection criteria will include, but is not limited to:
-A compelling and engaging essay that describes the impact of homeownership on the personal life of the student.
-Thematic consistency throughout the submission around the central thesis.
-Proper spelling and grammar usage throughout the submission.
Notification: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties will select the winner during the month of November 2015 and will announce the winner via website pending notification of the students and their families.
How to Apply:
To apply, students must submit an essay based on one (1) of the three (3) essay questions about their personal experience with homeownership. The essay should be between 500-1000 words. Send a Word doc attachment to scholarship-at-bhhsgeorgia.com with your essay submission. The file name should be your full name, state, and date of birth. For example, Chipper-Jones-GA-4-24-1972. All submission emails must contain the student’s full name, date of birth, email address, postal address, name of the school they are currently enrolled in, and a phone number to contact.
