Elinor Jean, an ANU Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar, is researching water
law, in particular the development of a radical critique of water policy
and regulation in Australia. At present, she is focusing on the town-
country divide and its implications for water law in Australia. After
completion of her PhD, Elinor is hoping to work overseas, gathering
experience of water issues in countries such as India, South Africa and
the US, as well as continuing research into water law in Australia. Elinor
studied European languages and Law at ANU and chose to undertake
research here because of the expert supervision and collegial support
from staff.
