Arab Council of Social Sciences is announcing its fourth session of the fellowships for the postdoctoral program. Citizens of Arab Countries are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
This new initiative complements the Council hind efforts to support and encourage social sciences in the Arab world, especially from the point of investing in a new generation of researchers in the social sciences.
Course Level: Fellowships are available to pursue Postdoctoral programme. The fellowship lasts 9 months.
Study Subject: Fellowships program aimed at researchers in the social sciences, especially political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, education, and Demography (demography), media and cultural studies. At this session, the Council particularly encourages applications from the humanities, including literature, history, cultural studies, philosophy, and the arts.
Scholarship Award: Beliefs the fellowship full support for 9 months (including living expenses as well as expenses Research) ranges between $ 20,000 and $ 36,000.
This amount is significantly correlated to price levels in the countries that are proposed candidate residence during the period of the fellowship, as well as whether the candidate has other sources of income during the period of the fellowship. If the applicant is qualified for the short list, it will be asked to submit budget estimates in which 1) the cost of living, 2) the cost of the search, and determines whether it has the funding sources and/or other income during the fellowship period.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
Fellowship offers on a competitive basis to young scientists who meet the criteria set forth in the following. Council took a keen interest in re-engage with Arab scholars educated and trained abroad to the region.
To meet the eligibility criteria, the applicants:
–To be citizens or nationals of an Arab country: namely, the Arab state affiliate of the Arab League state. We mean “parish” is always resident and long – term in an Arab country, including those who do not have the nationality of that country, as is the case of refugees. And the right of the Arab community living outside the region to participate in the program, the requirement to carry the Arab nationality and should not be holding the post of a permanent professor and / or do not have the opportunity to access research resources in the enterprise in which they work and/or the state in which they reside when you apply. The researchers assumed the Arabs living outside the Arab region to spend a period of fellowship in the region.
To be junior researchers: This program is aimed at researchers who did not take more than three years to hold sway doctorate in social sciences (certificate may be collected from Arab countries or outside). Candidates must have attained a doctorate degree when you apply.
To show promising academic qualifications and high quality: Candidates submit a project proposal (between 10 and 15 pages) shows the academic qualifications and sets an important research question Sieljunha during the fellowship period. The candidates also provide leaflets plan along with a professional plan for three years.
Nationality: Citizens of Arab Countries: Algeria, Bahrain, the Comoros Islands, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

- A letter from an academic advisor who works in an institution in the region and shows a willingness to supervise the work of the candidate and his guidance throughout the proposed fellowship
- A detailed biography Resume academic advisor institution to host the candidate during the fellowship period.
