Asia New Zealand Foundation Internship With Oji Holdings in Japan, 2016

The Asia New Zealand Foundation is pleased to offer Internship with Oji Holdings in Japan for commerce students. New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are in good health (physical and emotional) are eligible to apply for this internship programme. The Asia New Zealand Foundation covers the cost of return airfares to Japan, travel insurance, and a stipend to cover living expenses. The intern will also be expected to contribute NZ$500 in total towards their living expenses. Applications close Monday, 18th July 2016.

Field of Internship: The Asia New Zealand Foundation invites final-year commerce students who have studied marketing or operations management to apply for an internship in Japan with paper and packaging manufacturer, Oji Holdings. While this internship is aimed primarily at commerce students, science students will also be considered.

Eligibility: Applicants must be:

  •   New Zealand citizens or permanent residents
    •    in good health (physical and emotional)
    •    due to complete a business or science degree by the end of November 2016
    •    able to speak advanced conversational Japanese
    •    adaptable, mature, reliable and resilient
    •    interested in pursuing a career involving Japan and the Asian region.

Internship Open for International Students: New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for this internship programme.

Is this paid internship? The Asia New Zealand Foundation covers the cost of return airfares to Japan, travel insurance, and a stipend to cover living expenses. The intern will also be expected to contribute NZ$500 in total towards their living expenses. Oji Holdings will provide dormitory accommodation and a train pass for commuting. The Foundation and Oji Holdings will jointly deliver a pastoral care plan. The Foundation will provide a support network of other New Zealanders living in Tokyo.

Internship Duration: The internship will run for a period of eight weeks from February to March 2017. The Foundation is aiming to recruit one student for the inaugural 2017 round of the programme.
