Erasmus Mundus offers Masters Scholarships in Astronomy and Astrophysics for International students at Five Universities in Austria, Italy, Germany and Serbia.

The students should hold a Bachelor degree in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics or Mathematics. The duration of the program is two years. The students will receive a Joint Master Degree by the Consortium universities. In addition they will be given a Diploma Supplement also.

Another opportunity in the particular field is Boustany Scholarships in Astronomy in UK which is funded by Cambridge Commonwealth Trust. The scholarships are available for International students who live outside Europe. The Doctoral scholarship is tenable at University of Cambridge. The scholarship covers the University Composition Fee, College Fee, Annual stipend and all expenses relating to internship is provided by the trust. The scholarship is open one time in every three years.

Physics and Astronomy Scholarships are awarded by the alumni and friends of the University of St Andrews to undergraduate students who are from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales and EU.

The selection will be based on financial need. The scholarships cover £1000 for students intending to do a degree within the School and £500 for students who aims to do a joint degree involving the School. The number of awards may vary. The scholarship will be offered for one year.

There is another scholarship for Italian and international students which will provide four years of research experience at one of the INAF research centers in Italy. Two types of Research Fellowships in Astronomy at AstroFI are available for researchers in astronomy.  The program is available to carry out research in a Third Country for at least 3 years in the last 4 years.

Applicants to incoming mobility fellowship have to be non-residents of the country of the host organization. Applicants to reintegration fellowship must be Italian nationals who have carried out research in a Third Country for at least 3 years in the last 4 years prior to the deadline for submission of proposal. The fellowship is offered for two years. Researchers must be holders of a PhD degree or have at least 4 years of research practice. The fellowship proposal can be submitted electronically.

Graduate Students who are from either a Chicago-area public high school or a public high school in the state of Iowa are invited to apply for the award offered by the University of Iowa in USA. For Halas-Sayers Scholarship African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, Alaskan native, native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander descents are eligible to apply. The award is a full-ride need-based scholarship and a minimum of 3.50 cumulative high schools GPA on a 4.00 scale is required. Award criteria contains academic achievement, high school and community service/leadership, short-answer responses and financial need.
