-Be employed either: by Ministry of Education Special Education as, for example, a Speech Language Therapist, Psychologist, Special Education Advisor, Occupational Therapist or Early Intervention Teacher, or as a Resource Teacher: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB), or as a registered teacher working in special education.
-Hold a relevant professional qualification such as a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Speech Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
-Have approval and support from your employer have worked for a minimum of two years in a specialist role working with children and young people with ASD by the course start date have an interest in and experience of working with children with ASD.

Scholarship Description: Awards will be allocated to Ministry of Education specialist staff (such as Speech Language Therapist, Psychologist, Special Education Advisor, Occupational Therapist, Early Intervention Teacher), RTLB and specialist teachers wishing to gain a specialist qualification in supporting teachers and teams who work with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
