Baltimore Fashion Week Design Scholarship Award, Maryland
Job Description: The Baltimore Fashion Week Design Scholarship Award (hereinafter called “Scholarship”)
program will be presented each year to registered, full time design students, who are on track to
earn their Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) or equivalent undergraduate degree in fashion design or
apparel/textile design, from an accredited college or university.
The Baltimore Fashion Week Award Committee will award the Scholarship to ten (10) eligible
and qualified individuals who are currently enrolled or will be entering a college/university
majoring in the field of fashion design or apparel/textile design.
ALL award recipients will be notified by U.S. mail.
Scholarship Award Information and Deadlines:
•?Ten (10) $200.00 Scholarships will be awarded annually.
•?Scholarship deadline is JUNE 30,2010. Scholarship recipients will be notified via U.S. mail
on July 31, 2010.
•?Scholarships will be awarded during the 2010 Baltimore Fashion Week closing
ceremonies, on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Sheraton Baltimore North – Towson,
Maryland. Scholarships will be sent via check to the accounting office of the recipient’s
college/university by August 31, 2010.
Scholarship Applicant Portfolio Submission Guidelines:
•?Applicants must submit either a Spring/Summer or a Fall/Winter collection.
•?Collection must consist of three (3) full-color illustrated looks. NO PHOTOGRAPHS
ALLOWED.
•?Each applicant’s portfolio submission must include swatches.
•?All artwork must be ORIGINAL sketches (gauche, marker, etc.) – NO COLOR COPIES.
•?Submission size should not exceed 14 x 18 x 3 inches.
