University of Auckland is offering Bill Miller Engineering Scholarships for academically able students enrolling full-time in the Faculty of Engineering. Scholarships are open for citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand. Up to three Scholarships may be awarded annually, each for a period of one year and will be of the value of up to $6,000. The basis of selection will be demonstrated financial hardship, particularly where such hardship might result in the student not completing their Engineering studies, academic merit and the potential to achieve in the study of Engineering.

Eligibility:
The Scholarships are tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
-The University of Auckland has the power to amend or vary these regulations in conjunction with the donor provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the Scholarship.
-The basis of selection will be demonstrated financial hardship, particularly where such hardship might result in the student not completing their Engineering studies, academic merit and the potential to achieve in the study of Engineering.

Scholarship Description: The University of AucklandThe Bill Miller Engineering Scholarships were established in 2011. These Scholarships are funded from an endowed gift by the Bill Miller Trust. The main purpose of the Scholarships is to provide support for academically able students enrolling full-time in the Faculty of Engineering who have demonstrated need for financial assistance.

Number of award(s): Up to three Engineering Scholarships will be offered.

Duration of award(s): These Engineering Scholarships will be offered for one year.

What does it cover? Up to three Scholarships will be of the value of up to $6,000. The exact number of scholarships on offer will be dependent on the availability of funding but will usually comprise one scholarship of $6,000; or two scholarships of $3,000 each; or three scholarships of $2,000 each.

Selection Criteria: The basis of selection will be demonstrated financial hardship, particularly where such hardship might result in the student not completing their Engineering studies, academic merit and the potential to achieve in the study of Engineering.

Notification: Applicants will be notified approximately six weeks after the closing date by letter or email.
