Biochemistry is a combination of chemistry and biological science. The program involves the study of DNA, proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates and monoclonal antibodies. For making a career in Biochemistry you should start with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Math’s) in plus two/equivalent. Many universities and colleges offer degree in Biochemistry at various levels (graduation, post graduation). Students can also opt for research. Some medical colleges may also offer MD Biochemistry for MBBS graduates.
Biochemists may be employed in industry, hospitals, forestry, agriculture, dietetics, research institutes, education and associated areas, pharmaceutical, food, brewing, biotechnology and agrochemical companies. For funding the degree in Biochemistry, look below the list which consists of the information of various scholarships available in Biochemistry.
