British Education for Quality Students, Different Courses
British education is conventional and valued through out the world. British education has welcomed of those quality students who are from different countries, backgrounds and experiences. British universities provide a lively, creative environment to develop capabilities in students.
Description about different qualifications offered by UK Universities:
Sandwich Course: A sandwich course is one in which a student can spend a year doing work experience related to his/her degree. They are of usually 4 years and are very popular. This course includes practical work. The benefit of this course is that student can get the real knowledge of practical experience in learning mode.
First Degree Course in Arts and Science:
Commonly bachelor degree courses are 3-4 years in duration, but sometimes these courses include the short written thesis preparation as well.
Higher National Diploma (HND):
HND includes vocational and technical education councils. They offer a 2-year course in a vocational subject like scientific subjects.
Postgraduate Study:
Postgraduate Diploma and certifications continually taught course qualification and last 9 months. They normally follow the same program as a Masters degree but are apprised only by exam, without a thesis. The most colloquial are:
PG Dip (Postgraduate Diploma)
PG Cert (Postgraduate Certificate)
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
Application Procedure for Undergraduate Programs:
In this section the process of applying in Universities of Cambridge and Scotland given below:
Applications are made by the help of computerized system which is known as: Universities and College admission Services (UCAS). The benefit of this application is student can get a choice of six universities for filling a single UCAS Form. The form of this organization is available at all British Council Offices in India for self funded students.
If you are applying in universities of Oxford and Cambridge please follow these points which are given below:
1. Student must apply before 15 October of Each year.
2. There are specific forms to be filled and sent to the universities.
3. Student can not apply to both colleges in One year.
The Indian students, who have done 12th from CBSE or ICSE Board or their equivalent, must consider the course of AAA. Those students who have not these qualifications they can apply in foundation courses which are available in huge range in UK Universities. The duration of these courses is 4-5 months to a year.
Note: For entry in Oxford and Cambridge London University (A) level results are required. ILTBC is regularly administered by British councils but some universities accept TOFEL as an alternative examination.
Application Procedure for Postgraduate Programs:
In this section the process of applying in the universities in England & Scotland for Postgraduate (Masters’ & Doctorate Degree) courses are given below:
Most of the universities of UK acquire the Indian graduate system which is 3 years of duration. For seeking admission into master’s degree programs, an Indian Bachelor programs like BA, B.Com, B.Sc. is comparable to British Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree.
Some universities require qualification comparable to British bachelor (Honors) degree, which requires 16 years of approved education which is in another mean in 4 year degree program like: B.E, B.Tech and their courses.
British Degree: British Bachelor (Ordinary degree) Degree
Indian Degree: A three years Indian graduation degree like B.A or B.Sc
British Degree: British Bachelor (Honors) Degree
Indian Degree: A Four-year graduation courses like: B.E or B.Tech or other such courses.
OR
A postgraduate degree, from Indian university, like M.A., M.Sc. or other such courses.
