Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School is inviting applications for undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships. Up to 34 scholarships are available from which 17 scholarships are for October intake. There are four types of scholarships available; 5 national undergraduate scholarships, 5 state undergraduate scholarships, 5 motivational undergraduate scholarships and 2 motivational postgraduate scholarships. Application deadline is 29th August 2014 for October 2014 intake.

Eligibility:
The entry requirements into our undergraduate hospitality courses at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) are as follows:
All applicants must:
-Have completed an Australian Year 12 senior secondary school certificate or its approved international equivalent.
-If 12 years of education has not been completed, applicants with an equivalent Australian Year 11 and at least a Certificate IV qualification or a partially completed university degree may be considered.
-Be at least 18 years of age before the end of the first practical term.
-Provide original certified copies of any academic and professional qualifications (including the original language and translated document if applicable).
-All qualifications of international applicants will be verified in consultation with the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR).
Entry into a postgraduate hospitality degree program or into a Postgraduate program of Global Business Management at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School is based upon previous academic performance and proficiency in the English language.
All applicants must:
-Have completed a bachelor degree as recognized by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF 7). All international qualifications must be recognized by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR).

-Original certified copies of all qualifications (including the original language and translated document if applicable).

Scholarship Open for International Students: Australian and New Zealand students can apply for these scholarships.

We provide internationally recognized hospitality and business degree courses that are highly respected within the global hotel and event management industries.

What does it cover? -AUD$10,000 National Undergraduate Scholarships.
-AUD$5,000 State Undergraduate Scholarships.
-AUD$3,000 Motivational Undergraduate Scholarships.
-AUD$3,000 Motivational Postgraduate Scholarship.

 Selection Criteria: All scholarship applications will be judged on all aspects, as well as merits.For the National Scholarships the selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview which may involve phone, face to face and panel interviews/workshop.

How to Apply: Applicants may send their Application form, scan and email all required documents to enquiry-at-bluemountains.edu.au or post. To apply, please submit the following information:
-BMIHMS Completed Scholarship Applications for your desired intake – October, 2014 must be submitted.
-A cover letter outlining their merit and need for the scholarship, personal qualities and achievements as well future aspirations. For the National Scholarships this needs to be at least 500 words.
-Resume outlining their schooling, work experience, extra curricular activities, career goals, interests and hobbies etc.
-Certified copies of any certificates and transcripts received (including year 11 & 12 results where applicable).
-Letters of reference from a teacher, or employer
