Eligibility
Applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
International citizens who want to pursue a PhD degree at BOKU are eligible to apply. For consideration to this program, you need to hold the undergraduate and master’s degree in biological sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, medicine, technical or scientific discipline or closely related subjects. The postgraduate students must have included experimental investigations in one of these fields and evidence of modelling or data analysis work. You must have to start D. thesis in one of the participating laboratories for more than 6 months.

- How to apply: For applying, candidates need to take admission in the PhD degree program. After taking full-time enrollment candidates can submit the application form.
- Supporting Documents: Must attach the letter of motivation, personal statement and a CV.
- Admission Requirements: For admission in PhD coursework, students must have to hold the copy of certificates obtained for coursework including grades.
- Language Requirement: All applicants, whether domestic or international, must provide evidence that their English language ability meets the minimum requirements for admission.

You will receive funding according to the salary scheme of the Austrian Science Fund (net annual income after deduction of tax and social insurance approx. € 19.800,–).
