Why study at British Council? The British Council is a British organization specializing in international cultural and educational opportunities. It works in over 100 countries. The British Council is a charity registered in England and Wales and Scotland and is governed by the Royal Charter.
Application Deadline: The last date to submit the entries to participate in the following grant is August 10, 2022.
Eligibility
- Those who live in Japan at the time of application.
- Those who will study abroad in 2022 at a university or graduate school that requires submission of IELTS grades. (By the end of July 2022, you must be ready to present your admission in writing from your destination)
- Those who took the IELTS test at a test center under the jurisdiction of the British Council in Japan from April 2020 to the end of July 2022, and obtained an overall score of 6.0 or higher.
- Those who can cooperate with IELTS and public relations regarding study abroad as an IELTS ambassador during and after study abroad.
How to Apply
- How to apply: To participate, the applicants need to submit the application form.
- Supporting Documents: To apply, students must be ready to submit the filled-in Personal Statement in the application form and send a copy of the IELTS Test Report Form (IELTS transcript) along with the above application form by post.
- Admission Requirements: To apply for the program applicants must have a previous degree.
- Language Requirement: All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.
Benefits
Four students from Japan will be selected to study abroad at a university or graduate school, and 300,000 yen will be provided as a tuition subsidy for the academic year 2022-2023.
