Postdoctoral position in quantitative mass spectrometry/proteomics (Pasadena, CA)
At the Proteome Exploration Laboratory at California Institute of Technology (www.pel.caltech.edu), we have an immediate opening for a highly motivated recent PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
The candidate will be involved in developing and applying cutting edge LC-MS/MS techniques for quantitation of proteins (iTRAQ, SILAC, and label-free). The Proteome Exploration Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment (CapLC, UPLC, Orbitrap, LTQFT, QTOF and HP1100MSD, and a strong bioinformatics pipeline, including Mascot and Sorcerer and in-house developed software).
Hands-on experience in protein chemistry, biological mass spectrometry, or proteomics is preferred. Strong publication records and communication skills in English are essential.
