A Scientific Officer is required to participate in laboratory studies investigating the mechanism of tumour suppression by the retinoblastoma protein pathway.
The successful candidate will have a BSc in a Biological Science and will have previous experience of routine protein analysis, tissue culture and molecular biology techniques. The post will suit individuals with a keen interest in research and practical laboratory work.
The post-holder will interact primarily with the Team Leader but will need to work in close collaboration with other members of the team. They will also be involved in the day-to-day organization and safety of the laboratory and will possess good organisational and interpersonal skills.
The position is available immediately and is tenable to 30 September 2008 in the first instance. Starting salary will be in the range ?22,216 to ?27,640 p.a. inclusive.
