Cardiff University was established in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire. It is a public research university that became independent in 2007 and ranked 5th in the UK.

Application Deadline: Applicants must submit all required application materials until first deadline 3 April 2023 and second deadline 3 July 2023.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Home (UK) candidates are worthy.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Applicants are independent to apply for a full-time or a part-time taught master’s degree program, MRes Biosciences, and MRes Stem Cell Neurobiology degree programs at the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: Must not apply for a distance learning program and also not hold any other grant from the university.
  • The following programmes are not included so aren’t eligible for a Master’s Excellence Scholarship:
  • Distance learning programmes
  • Architectural Studies (MArch)
  • Taught programmes leading to a graduate diploma (GDip), postgraduate certificate (PgCert) or postgraduate diploma (PgDip)
  • Research degrees that lead to a Master in Philosophy (MPhil).

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: For being eligible to these positions, candidates must have to reserve a place in a master’s degree program at the university. Then, they can complete the online application form for the grants.
  • Supporting Documents: Curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and a copy or scan of passport need to be attached.
  • Admission Requirements: A selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Language Requirement: Should have excellent proficiency in the English language.
