Chemistry: Marie Curie Fellow

12-month PhD position funded under the Marie Curie Early Stage Training (EST) scheme is available in the centre for Synthesis Training for a Chemical Biology Approach to Drug Design at the University of Edinburgh. This EST centre is a response to the increasingly pivotal role played by Chemical Biology in the design of new medicines. Fellows will be given the opportunity to attend courses in practical and theoretical training in synthetic chemistry and Chemical Biology. They will develop these skills in the pursuit of a research project which spans the two disciplines, developing excellent synthetic skills, but also spending a significant proportion of their time pursuing cross-disciplinary research.

You should have a first or upper second class honours degree or its equivalent, and/or a Masters degree, in Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry. Applicants with degrees in Chemical Physics and Biochemistry will also be considered. You must also fulfil European Union, Marie Curie EST selection criteria.
