I am a 25 year old young man and currently working as a clinical officer in at one of central hospitals. One reaches this position following 4 years of clinical training with internship year inclussive.
I do not have much background of this course but I do think and believe that it was introduced to help relieve the crisis which is there in the health sector of Malawi.

I have worked for 2 years and some months now as a civil servant but am already exhausited. We are always under much workload but the compesation is very little. This has forced some young men and women to leave this field and join other fieds where working condition is better. This has been to solve the problem on their part but creating difficulty stuatin for Nation. Some of these potential young clinical officers would prove helpful if they had a chance to go for medical training to become medical doctors.

I myself have applied for MBBS in one of Universities in china where the offer this training in english and I do hope to be admitted but with no where to get funds for this 5 year programme.

I am a first year medical student at Kwame Nkrumah university in Ghana I come from Malawi, and I am looking for funds for my training. It’s a 6yrs programme.

I have a medical back ground I studied clinical medicine and graduated with a diploma under Malawi gvt sponsorship and worked at a central hospital for a year but I felt a challenge to upgrade my knowledge with the ever increasing demand for physicians in my country. Malawi has the third worst marternal mortality rate and high infant mortality rate, lying in the sub Saharan Africa it also faces higher HIV infection rate. I am interested in becoming a pediatrician and help children as they count over 60% of Malawi’s population and that most fatal diseases occur within this category.

I wil be glad to hearing from you soon.
