2017 CLIFOOD PhD Scholarship for Ethiopians at University of Hohenheim, Germany

Food Security Center awards top selected applicants from Ethiopia scholarships to obtain their PhD degree at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.

The DAAD program ‘Bilateral SDG Graduate School’ funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), seeks to help achieve the new Development Goals by funding bilateral higher education institution partnerships in establishing SDG graduate schools in developing countries. To this purpose, the German-Ethiopian SDG Graduate School “Climate Change Effects on Food Security (CLIFOOD)” between the University of Hohenheim (Germany) and the Hawassa University (Ethiopia) has been established.

The monthly grant is EUR 1,000 for the time in Germany (during the field research there will be a different rate applicable). In addition, FSC pays for traveling to and from Hohenheim. Proofed costs for a health and liability insurance will be refunded for an amount up to EUR 100. Other costs must be paid by the PhD candidate.
