Since I am currently reading for a double major course at the University of Botswana in Special Education and Early Childhood Education, I find pursuing masters in Clinical Psychology relavent to my area of interest as will equip me with skills to professionally assess children and students displaying signs of in difficulty in learning. Many children suffer the struggle of learning difficulties because majority of teachers in Botswana Education system are not skilfull in handling such students. Getting Clinical Psychology Scholarship will mark a huge difference in the Botswana Education system as I will work tirelessly to help these poor children and share my kwoledge with other teachers so that vast majority of students are reached at a time.

My name is Eunice Jemalel Nyavanga a Phd Clinical Psychology female student at the Universty of Nairobi. I have a Diploma in Education Humanities (1985), a Bacholors Degree in Psychology (Counseling)(2005) and a Masters of Science Clinical Psychology (2008). I am now pursuing a Phd in Clinical Psychology. My study is the “efficacy of psychoeducation on the opinions of mental illnesss and attitudes towards professional help seeking among college student primary school teachers in Kenya”.

I am confinced beyond doubt that this study will assist Kenya be able to make policies that meet the training of teachers which will assist in teachers to understand mental illness and change attitudes to be able to seek professional help for mental illness and recognise the mental illness in their students. it will the change the stigmatizing attitudes Kenyans have on mental illness.

I hold a 4 year bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Bahir Dar and I am going to complete in July 2001 a 3 year specialization in history at the University of Bahir Dar Ethiopia. I am confident that the linguistic and educational profile that I acquired as well as a broad literary and artistic culture combined with my knowledge in communication and marketing will be an important asset for my realization in the field of social science . To further prepare myself for the program I completed a 2 month internship at high school Bahir Dar district, department of Education. This strengthened my leadership skills and motivated me to serve as a catalyst for social and educational changes.
