College Scholarships For Permanent Residents, 2018

Scholarships in this section are specifically for students who want to study by residing in their home country. With the help of these permanent resident scholarships students don’t need to move far away from their home country for their higher studies. These scholarships give various advantages to students as they have green card of that country and various rights. Universities/colleges are providing scholarships for graduate, undergraduate, postgraduate and for other degree programs also. Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria so candidates are suggested to apply accordingly.

Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship For New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia
RMIT University is inviting application for Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarships (VCPS) available for Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia. The duration of a Vice Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship is three years full-time, with the possibility of a 6 month extension subject to satisfactory progress. Candidates must submit their thesis within three and a half years (or equivalent part-time) to be eligible for award; and a relocation allowance for the cost of relocating in order to take up their postgraduate research program, up to $515 per adult and $255 per child to a maximum of $1,540. The application deadline is 1 January 2017.

Raffles College Scholarship For Australian Citizens
Raffles College of Design and Commerce is offering eight Australian scholarships for undergraduate students. One full-fee and one half-fee scholarship is available for each of the following four 3 year’s degree programs with a selected major: Bachelor of Accountancy, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Arts (visual communication). Applications are open to all current Year 12 Australian high school students with Australian citizenship. The application deadline is November 6.

DAAD Study Scholarship For US Or Canadian Citizens:
German university is offering DAAD study scholarships for a year of independent study or a full master’s degree program. Applicants should be US or Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Foreign nationals are eligible if they have been full-time students at an accredited US or Canadian University for more than one year at the time of application. Highly qualified final year undergraduate students (graduating seniors) or those who have received an undergraduate degree of all disciplines may apply for this scholarship. Scholarships are granted for one academic year (10 months) with the possibility of a one-year extension for those wishing to complete a full degree program in Germany. The application deadline is November 4.

International Water Centre Scholarship For New Zealand And Australian Permanent Residents:
The International Water Centre (IWC) is offering several scholarships for high calibre applicants who want to study the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) commencing in Semester 1, 2016. These prestigious scholarships will be awarded on a merit-basis to candidates who clearly demonstrate potential to become future water leaders. Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents can apply online till 1 October.

Waikato Doctoral Scholarship For to New Zealand Citizens
University of Waikato of New Zealand is offering Waikato Doctoral Scholarship to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and international students. A candidate already enrolled in a doctoral degree at the University of Waikato can apply. Scholarship applications will only be considered once the applicant has received an offer of place to study for a doctoral qualification at the University of Waikato. The deadline of application: 31 October (for Round 1) and 30 April (for Round 2).

Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship To Both New Zealand Citizens Or Permanent Resident
University of Waikato is inviting applications for Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship for 2017. Scholarship is open to both New Zealand citizens and permanent resident students. The scholarship will cover the costs of domestic tuition fees and associated charges. The University determines the maximum number of scholarships available annually. The application deadline is 18 September.

TWAS-USM Fellowship Program For Temporary Or Permanent Residency In Malaysia
Applications are invited for TWAS-USM fellowship program available for temporary or permanent residency in Malaysia. Fellowships are available for pursuing research at postgraduate and postdoctoral level at the Universiti Sains Malaysia. USM will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation and food. The application deadline is 15th September.

Academic Excellence Scholarships For New Zealand Citizens
University of Otago is offering academic excellence scholarships for students intending to enroll for full-time undergraduate study. Scholarships are awarded for New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have completed Year 12 and have completed or are in the process of completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school. For the first year of study at the University of Otago, the scholarship will normally consist of a full tuition fee waiver at the domestic fee status rate and a fee waiver for the full cost of accommodation in a University or University-affiliated residential college. The application deadline is 15 August.

Macquarie’s Global Leadership Scholarships For Australian Permanent Resident
The scholarship is open for Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, and international student studying the IB onshore or HSC or equivalent. Two GLEP scholarships will be awarded with a value of $5000 each for the first year of study at Macquarie. The GLEP scholarships will be awarded in early January. The application deadline is 15 August.

NRF Free-standing Master’s and Doctoral Scholarship For South African Permanent Residents:
The National Research Foundation (NRF) is offering NRF Free-standing Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships in South Africa. Scholarships are open to South African citizens, South African permanent residents as well as a limited percentage of non-South African citizens registered at a South African public university. Masters scholarships are worth R50 000 per annum and doctoral scholarships worth R70 000 per annum. The closing date for submitting applications is 7th August.

Innovation Master’s and Doctoral Scholarship To South African Permanent Residents
Innovation Master’s and Doctoral scholarships for 2016 are open to South African citizens, South African permanent residents as well as a limited percentage of non-South African citizens registered at a South African public university. To be eligible, all applicants’ for full-time Masters or Doctoral studies in South Africa must be registered or, intending to register at a South African public university. Masters scholarships are worth R80 000 per annum and doctoral scholarships worth R110 000 per annum. The application deadline is 7 August.

Development Project Scholarship For Australian Permanent Residents Or New Zealand citizens
University of Sydney is inviting applications for postgraduate scholarship for research on seasonal flu vaccine development project. Australian, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship will be valued at the same rate as the Australian Postgraduate Award ($26,288pa in 2016), and will be indexed annually. It may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress. The application deadline is 15 January 2016.

Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority ICT Scholarship For Tanzanian Students
Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is offering ICT Scholarship for Tanzanian Students. There are five undergraduate, two masters and one PhD scholarship available to study at public universities. The scholarship offers students the opportunity to obtain degrees in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and related areas. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and interview to be conducted by the scholarship panel. The application deadline is July 20, 2015.

Davis Levin Livingston Scholarship For USA Citizen:
Applications are invited for Davis Levin Livingston public interest law scholarship to support law students intending to pursue public interest law. Scholarship of $3,000 is to be used exclusively for law school tuition and related expenses. This scholarship is only for U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States. The application deadline is July 15.

PwC Bursary Scheme For South African citizens
Price water house Coopers (PwC) of SAICA accredited South African university is offering PwC bursary scheme for South African citizens. Bursaries are awarded to students who are studying or intending to study towards one of the following degrees: a B Com in Accounting, a B Compt, a Bachelor of Accountancy, or a Business Science degree leading to a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (SA) at any SAICA accredited South African university. Closing dates for bursary applications for 2015 are as follows: Gauteng 30 November ,KwaZulu-Natal 31 July, Eastern Cape 31 July, Western Cape 31 July, North East 31 July and Central 31 July.
