Colorado Weed Management 2008-09 Scholarship Program

1. Undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled in or accepted into a full time accredited college or university program in or out of the State of Colorado.

2. Two scholarships are available in the amounts of $1,000.00 each. Funds are to be used for tuition, books and fees only. Scholarship funds will be directly deposited to the student’s school account. Student must provide CWMA with contact information at the school for deposit of funds. Winners must provide verification of enrollment.

3. Students must be at least 18 years old, will be a junior or senior in college or a graduate student, and have completed an internship or summer job emphasizing noxious weed management within Colorado. P (preference will be awarded to students majoring in a weed, range, or agricultural science field).

4. CWMA scholarships are weighted in favor of those with academic excellence and, overall achievement, in addition to essay quality and innovation.

5. All applications must include this information sheet with your signature below, the attached application page, and a one-page essay (no more than one page).

6. The attached application and essay must be typed or computer generated. You can access this application online at www.cwma.org. Applications submitted after the February 15, 2008April 15, 2009 deadline will not be accepted.

7. If you were awarded a scholarship last year and wish to receive it again, then you must submit a new application.
