University of Queensland offers ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Scholarship for undergraduate students at the University who are enrolled in the penultimate year. The scholarships award covers up to $8000 pa for two years. Applicants must be Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident and enrolled in the penultimate year of engineering at the university. The scholarship is non transferable at other university. Eligibility: -Be an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
-Be enrolled full time at The University of Queensland in the penultimate year of a:
(i) Bachelor of Engineering degree (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering), or
(ii) combined Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical) / Science degree, or
(iii) combined Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical) / Commerce degree,
or (iv) Bachelor of Environmental Science degree, or
(v) Bachelor of Science (Honours) Environmental Science degree, or
(vi) Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Science degree.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of Australia or Australian Permanent Resident can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Scholarship has been established to encourage Engineering and Health, Safety and Environment students to consider a career in the energy industry. The program provides educational support and professional development opportunities to students.

What does it cover? The cash component of the scholarship will be paid directly to the student by ConocoPhillips in two instalments of $3250 post census date of each semester.

Selection Criteria:
-Satisfactory academic progress (minimum Credit Average)
-Responses in the application form
-Compatibility with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT values and the strength of interest displayed in pursuing a future career in the energy industry, as assessed by the selection panel
– The strength of the interest that the applicant demonstrates in completing at least one period of vacation employment at ConocoPhillips.

Notification: The successful applicant will be notified in writing by ConocoPhillips Australia.
