Curtin Health Scholarship to India, China, South Africa, Ukraine

August 3, 2008

Go Global: Curtin Health Equity Scholarships are available to assist students in 2009, who can demonstrate financial hardship.

The Scholarship will be a one off cash payment of $4,500 to assist with costs associated with participating in the Go Global: Curtin Health program to India, China, South Africa or Ukraine.

Applicants must be completing their third undergraduate year or first postgraduate year of study and be enrolled in one of the following specified courses by coursework (not a master or PhD by research program)
1.   Occupational Therapy
2.   Physiotherapy
3.   Human Communication Science
4.   Nursing
5.   Pharmacy

The Scholarship provides a one off cash payment of $4,500 to assist with costs associated with participating in the Go Global: Curtin Health program.
Tenable at: Curtin University of Technology
# Eligibility: Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for a Go Global: Curtin Health Equity Scholarship: Can demonstrate financial hardship
# Be enrolled part time or full time at Curtin University of Technology
# Must have a status of Good Standing
# Must have a Course Weighted Average of 60.00 or more
# Must be completing their third undergraduate year or first postgraduate year of study
# Be enrolled in one of the following specified courses by coursework (not a master or PhD by research program)
1. Occupational Therapy
2. Physiotherapy
3. Human Communication Science
4. Nursing
5. Pharmacy

Note the following restrictions:
# occupational therapy students can apply for the India, China, South Africa and India Go Global programs
# physiotherapy students can ONLY apply for the India and China Go Global programs
# human communication science students can ONLY apply for the India and China Go Global programs
# pharmacy students can ONLY apply for the India Go Global program
# nursing students can ONLY apply for the India Go Global program
It is envisaged that access to the other countries for all disciplines will be expanded in 2010.

I applied for and have been offered admission to study Masters in Public Health on a full time basis at the University of the Western Cape.
As I would be studying full time, I would not be employed.
