Danish Government Scholarships for Chinese Students 2009-2010
December 8, 2008DANISH GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHINESE STUDENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010 ARE AVAILABLE
In accordance with the Programme of Educational and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, a number of scholarships are available for students from China in the academic year 2009-2010.
The scholarships are available for graduates and research workers in order to enable them to study or carry out research at a Danish university or a similar institution of higher education in Denmark for a period of 2-10 months. All applications must be approved by CIRIUS, the Danish Government Agency for International Studies.
The scholarship includes free tuition and a monthly allowance of DKK 5,000 for one person only. Scholarship periods lasting more than 3 months include health insurance. The allowance is dedicated for the scholarship winner only, won’t cover the expenses of any accompanying members.
As a general rule, the scholarship is tax free in Denmark. However, as there are exceptions to this rule we recommend that you contact the local tax authorities for an individual assessment.
All applications must be submitted via the China Scholarship Council. And the Application deadline will be 1 March 2009.
