This post is one of a cohort of Fellowships set up and funded by NHS London and the London Deanery to help enable SpRs to develop the organisational and leadership skills necessary for their future roles as consultants and clinical leaders.
The post holder will gain these skills experientially through working on current service change projects across the local health economy and within the Trust. The “Fellows” will be supported by a “bespoke” management/organisational change programme commissioned by NHS London and London Deanery and through regular meetings with other “Fellows” in learning sets with an experienced facilitator.
This is the second year of these Fellowships and the “Fellows” and their Medical Directors and others involved in this project will be asked to continually support an evaluation.
This post will be based at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and will look specifically at the fields of change management and clinical governance and quality.
One Year – Full time with a roughly 20% of the working week spent on clinical commitment
(It is not essential that applicants are currently training in a cancer specialty)
