The Department of Pharmacology at University of Frankfurt College of Pharmacy offers a position for a
Senior Postdoc (Wissenschaftlicher Angestellter)
The salary is according to BAT IIa. The position can be filled immediately but not later than October 1, 2007. The successful applicant will work in the group of Prof. Dr. Jochen Klein on pharmacological approaches targeting neurodegenerative brain diseases and their underlying mechanisms (cf. J. Neurochem. 94, 1473, 2005; J. Neurochem. 100, 1421, 2007; Neuroscience 144, 217, 2007). Candidates must have a doctoral degree in an area of biomedicine (e.g. pharmacy, biology, biochemistry) and methodical experience which is relevant to the projects, e.g. in molecular or cell biology, neurochemistry, or animal experimentation. Postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record are highly desirable. We offer a newly established lab with modern equipment and a friendly working atmosphere. The position offers guaranteed time slots to do independent research and to pursue the “Habilitation”. Command of the German language is required because of teaching duties in the training of ! students of pharmacy.
