Founded in 1868, the University of California, Los Angeles is a public research university in the Westwood district of Los Angeles, United States. It supports current masters and doctoral students throughout a student’s graduate career.

The grant is awarded in the fields of Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Scientific fields related, allied, or of value to the medical field.

Eligibility 

  • Applicants must have a doctorate as their current degree objective at UCLA.
  • Candidates must be applying to or current doctoral students at UCLA in scientific fields related, allied or of value to the medical field.
  • No citizenship requirements. Also open to registered California AB540 undocumented students. Funding will be provided only if AB131 is still in effect for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Applicants must have fluency in English.

How to Apply

To be considered applicants need to take admission at the university, then they can fill the application form through an online portal. Candidates need to submit resume or curriculum vitae, 1 faculty letter of recommendation, and personal statement. Applicants must have a bachelor degree with well GPA score.  You will need a recognized English language qualification to be admitted to any degree program at the university if English is not your first language.

Benefits

The program will provide stipends of up to $15,000 which are applied to standard tuition unless the awardee has another tuition-payment source.
