Iam Okumu Michael, a Ugandan of 38 years old man and I hold a Masters of Education in Science Education (Physics) of Makerere University – Uganda with CGPA of 3.53 and for Undergraduate my CGPA is 4.14. I am seeking for a scholarship for a PhD Position in Science Education(Physics) or Physics areas. My interest is in US universities especially in The University of Minnesota- Department of Curriculum and Instructions- College of Education- Twin tower cities or in UK universities especially in The University of Southampton in Optoelectronics Research Centre.I am a hard working person in the field of research at national and international levels in the area of Science education and Research in Physics generally.Above all, Iam a experienced Physics teacher.I teach at Universities and High schools in Uganda and have supervised a number of Students’ research work and projects at Universities and high schools. I have guided and assessed a number of student teachers in Science teaching especially in Physics. This included classroom assessment and lesson management skills of the teacher in teaching Physics. In the area of Physics, I have supervised laboratory based students’ projects in the areas of electronics, material Science, optics and other related fields. I done research in Science education focusing on the Classroom teaching and learning focusing on learners’ and teachers’ perceptions.
I would be grateful for your help towards my dream in the research field so that we continue streamlining science teaching in schools and universities for technological advancement and improvement of our world.
