Fellowships offered through the Freezailah Fellowship Fund to promote human resource development & to strengthen professional expertise in member countries in tropical forestry & related disciplines. The goal is to promote the sustainable management of tropical forests, the efficient use & processing of tropical timber, & better economic information about the international trade in tropical timber. The fellowship program enables young & mid-career people to pursue professional development & improve career prospects. The program supports mainly short-term activities, such as participation in international conferences, training courses, & study tours, but also helps people to prepare manuals & monographs & provides small grants for post-graduate study.
FELLOWSHIPS ARE AWARDED MAINLY TO NATIONALS OF DEVELOPING MEMBER COUNTRIES.
This scholarship is offered bi-annually to 60 people. Open for applications until February 19, 2010.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Forestry sciences or Land, parks and agriculture management.

I am form the country where about 38% of natural forest have degraded ( Ethiopia) and facing problem of non seasonal rain fall each year. Currently almost 85% of Ethiopian people are living in rural area and mainly depending on Agriculture. I have DIploma in General Agriculture From Ambo University and Bachelor of art in Economics from Haramaya University, there fore, now day I am very eager to see my country being ever green and well conserved in its natural resources to feed around 62900000 people well. This is my willingness having you give me a chance to study and develop my knowledge there.

I am a Nigerian. My first was in Forestry, Wildlife and Range Management. I obtained a master of Technology Degree in Forest Biology and Ecology. I intend to proceed on a PhD in a relevant field.
