Ph.D. Student in Operational Risk

In co-operation with the Deutsche Bank AG, we are looking for a  to support our research at the Centre for Practical Quantitative Finance. The position is linked to an enrolment in Frankfurt School’s Ph.D. programme.

Key activities of the position are:

  • Analysis of the measurability and hedgeability of operational risk, especially relating to liability questions of IPOs in the US. The doctorate is realised in co-operation with the Operational Risk Team of the Deutsche Bank AG.
  • Participation in the Ph.D. programme and related research in projects
  • Presentation of research results at national and international conferences and publication of papers in journals
  • Support of the development of the Centre for Practical Quantitative Finance at Frankfurt School,
  • Teaching in the Bachelor and Master programmes at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management

You have:

  • a university degree in business or economics,
  • experience in scientific research; a previous focus on econometrics and/or statistics is helpful,
  • a fluency in English (oral and written),
  • practical banking experience (ideally).
