The Fulbright Foreign Student Program funds up to two years of graduate study to pursue a master’s degree in USA. U.S. Students of Uzbekistan are eligible for this scholarship.

Funded by the U.S. Government, the Fulbright Programme aims at achieving mutual understanding through academic and cultural exchange.

Fulbright scholarships will be awarded to applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to improving cross cultural relations through international exchange.

Candidates should try to obtain TOEFL scores that are in the 80s and higher (for candidates in Law, Public Administration, Journalism, Education, etc. – where strong written and spoken English skills are critical for successful study/research – scores should be 100 or more).

Course Level:  This scholarship is for pursuing master’s degree level.

Study Subject(s): The Fulbright Foreign Student Program encourages applications in the humanities, hard sciences such as engineering, and social sciences as well as all academic disciplines in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Education, Environmental Management, International Affairs, Journalism and Mass Communications, Law, Library and Information Science, Public Administration, Public Health and Public Policy.

Scholarship Award: All grantees receive tuition, a monthly stipend for up to 24 months, supplemental health and accident benefits, a book and equipment allowance, travel support, and the opportunity to attend Fulbright enrichment activities.

Eligibility:
-Applicants must be citizens or nationals of Uzbekistan or permanent residents qualified to hold a valid passport issued by the nominating country.
-Must be residing in Uzbekistan at the time of application and selection.
-Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education and hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree by the start of the grant period.
-A recent paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or higher or an equivalent test [i.e., internet-based TOEFL (IBT)] is desirable but not required, no GRE or GMAT scores are required during application process.
-Strong preference will be given to applicants who have not had extensive recent experience in the U.S.
-An applicant who is currently in the U.S. is ineligible for a grant.
-An applicant’s financial need or status will not be a factor in the selection process.

Nationality: Students of Uzbekistan can apply for this master’s scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education and hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree by the start of the grant period.

Test Requirement: On the GRE applicant should try to score 155 on Verbal and Quantitative sections.

English Language Requirement: Candidates should try to obtain TOEFL scores that are in the 80s and higher (for candidates in Law, Public Administration, Journalism, Education, etc. – where strong written and spoken English skills are critical for successful study/research – scores should be 100 or more).

-Scanned copies (and English translations) of academic transcripts and diplomas
-Three reference letters from university professors or employers (if employed)
-Test scores are not required at this point, but if available they should be uploaded
-Resume or CV
-Copy of passport bio-data page
