ACS Athens is pleased to offer two new, full, 4-year Academic Scholarships, in the names of “Panagiotis Gialamas” and “Thomas Gialamas”. Scholarships will provide two new students entering 9th Grade in September 2018 with the unique opportunity to study and prepare for college in the best international school in Greece.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: April 30, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available for students entering 9th Grade in September 2018.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.
  • Scholarship Award: Both the “Panagiotis Gialamas” and the “Thomas Gialamas” High School Scholarships will cover the full cost of tuition and school fees per student for a maximum of four consecutive years, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Students from Greece are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements:
    The “Thomas Gialamas” 4-year Academic Scholarship:
    The students must meet the following requirements:
  • They must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4) or the average score of 18 (out of 20).
  • They must pass the ACS Athens Admissions Test (English & Mathematics)
  • They must have unique and authentic talent in at least one academic area (Science, Art, etc.)
  • They must exhibit impeccable Ethos;
  • They must not be related in any way to the Gialamas family;
  • The students must write an essay in English reflecting on: “The responsibility of today’s citizens to serve humanity.”

The “Panagiotis Gialamas” 4-year Academic Scholarship: The students must meet the following requirements:

  • They must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4) or the average score of 18 (out of 20).
  • They must pass the ACS Athens Admissions Test (English & Mathematics)
  • They must have unique and authentic talent in at least one academic area (Science, Art, etc.)
  • They must exhibit impeccable Ethos;
  • They must not be related in any way to the Gialamas family;
  • The students must write an essay in English, reflecting on: If we define “Ethos” as the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person, group, or institution, what is the Ethos that should characterize the 21st Century global citizen.
