The Central South University is inviting applications are invited for a full scholarship for Non-Chinese students to study in China.

CSU is an open university. It has established long-term cooperation with more than 200 universities and research institutes in over 20 countries and regions, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Japan, France, Germany and Russia, and has been extensively engaged in industry-university-research cooperation with a large number of multinational enterprises. Overseas students from more than 100 countries and regions studied here.

For English-taught programs, TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.0 (received within two years) is required. Following situations can be given exemption: a native speaker of English or the previous degree was fully taught in English.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Application Deadline: April 15, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master and Doctoral degree programme.
  • Study Subject: Master’s degree candidates: 3 years
  • Majors available: computer science and technology, mathematics, control science and technology, control science and technology, electrical engineering, information and communication engineering, clinical medicine, nursing, public health, biology, etc. taught in English or Chinese; business administration, international trade, public administration, Chinese language and literature, law, etc. taught in Chinese.
  • Doctoral degree candidates: 4 years
  • Majors available: computer science and technology, mathematics, control science and technology, electrical engineering, information and communication engineering, clinical medicine, nursing, public health, biology, etc. taught in English or Chinese.
  • Scholarship Award: Full scholarship students (including tuition fee, accommodation, medical insurance fee and monthly living allowances of RMB 3000 for master’s candidates and RMB 3500 for doctoral candidates). The scholarship covers major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter.
  • Nationality: Non-Chinese students

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

Eligible Countries: Non-Chinese students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent Non-Chinese graduates from key universities?
  • No more than 35 years old for Master’s degree study.
  • No more than 40 years old for doctoral study.
  • A personal statement that not being funded by any person or institutions.

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

The CSC Online Application for Study in China is available at http://laihua.csc.edu.cn or http://www.campuschina.org, submit it online and get it printed.

  2. Diploma of the Most Advanced Studies (Notarized photocopy)

  1. Copy of the passport
  2. Study or Research Plan in China (No less than 800 words)
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation from different professors with detailed contact information
  4. Non-criminal record (it is only valid for six months from its registration date)
  5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Photocopy) and copies of blood test reports, and it is valid for six months from its registration date.
  6. A copy of any certificate to prove the English or Chinese level (such as IELTS, TOFEL, GRE, HSK etc).
  7. A personal statement that not being funded by any person or institutions.
  8. Other supporting materials such as published papers
