Gap Year Scholarships: Applying for Scholarships After Gap Year

You are on the right path of continuing your education and on the right place for searching gap year scholarships. Gap year is a period, typically an academic year, taken by a student as a break between school and university or college education. There are various universities as well colleges that provide financial aid to students who are applying for college after the gap year and also for those who are applying during their break.

Gap year programs can help participants to explore career options, clarify values, and develop skills which will help them to be successful in college, or the work world after college. Traditionally, a gap year has pertained to prospective college students who wanted to take some time off prior to beginning their post-high school education. Some college students look for a break during the college years, and  these graduates find the gap year experience to be an attractive alternative.
