The Division of Molecular Medicine of Musculoskeletal Tissue at the Department of Orthopedics is seeking a

Seeking a highly motivated PhD Student to join our research group to work on a research project funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Rheumatologie (DGRh). The project aims to study SUMOylation processes and their signalling pathways in fibroblast-like cells from patients with inflammatory joint diseases. In addition to standard molecular biology techniques including viral and non-viral gene transfer, the study will use complex cell cultures models as well as (transgenic and knockout) animal models of arthritis.
Expertise in cell culture or molecular biology techniques would be of advantage, but is not a prerequisite for application.
The position is initially for 1,5 years with 38,5 periods per week. Salary will be according to the German TV-L 13/2 (formerly BAT IIa/2).
